Very fascinating solution. I would love to see what something printed from the far left hand corner to the near right hand corner (essentially along the natural axis of the rod) looks like, whether the torque on the rod results in any feed differences from the nearest to the furthest positions.

How are things progressing? I have seen Neotko's pictures/videos and they are really impressive

I have a need to print a lot of flexible stuff this spring and this extruder really looks like "the" extruder for such materials. So it would be nice if one could at least know what hardware parts, apart from the printed parts, that are needed while the rest of the design is wrapped up.

Do you have any numbers as to how much this printhead weighs effectively?
I suppose the square steel rod doesn't have to be fully counted to the weight, but at least in some part it does affect the x-y-movements...

These are the moments when I wish I had access to the simulation part of Ansys software. But it's a little bit off my budget

I'm in the process of making a small & lightweight printhead myself, that's why I'm asking
fyi, I am sitting at ~240 grams total weight for the printhead and direct extruder drive, excluding bowden tube. My design is not tested yet (printing the components atm) but there will soon be pictures!

If you are considering this...take your time and read and digest the information provided...because it's a lot of files and things to pay attention to. But rest assured...the time spent will be worth it

When printing the flexible parts I noticed that the "motor support spacer" doesn't reach through the "yaw holder" so there will be direct contact between the "yaw holder" and the "motor holder". Is it supposed to be like that?

Motor holder uses a 2mm spacer so it can spin freely on the bearing.
